2, 3, and 4 weeks old!

 

 2 weeks!

Yesterday our sweet baby turned 2 weeks! We had a pretty busy day so we didn't get to take a picture until today, and she so wasn't having it either!! She weighs 9lbs and 14oz! Little chunker!

 

 3 weeks!

Maddi Moo is three weeks old today! My oh my how time is kinda flying by :(

4 weeks old!

Hard to believe in 3 days our sweet baby will be a month old! Momma is so sad! :(

Slacker

So I have been slacking a little on keeping up with posting a picture of Madison every week... oopsies! So I am going to get right on that!

First doctor appointment

Last Tuesday (8/7/12) you had your first doctors appointment! You weighted 9lbs and 4oz, 21 2/3 inches and are a healthy baby! My little skinny mini, chunky maddi moo!

Favorite!

One week

I weigh 9lbs and 4oz, I'm growing like a weed! For now all I do is eat, sleep, poop, eat some more, sleep some more, and well you get it. I LOVE to be swaddled and my swing is the best thing ever! Getting my diaper changed stinks! (seriously, lol)

Oh, and Daddy picked out my shirt. It says mommy & I agree daddys charming!

Four days old

Today you are FOUR DAYS OLD! I can't believe it! It seems like we just had you! I know its only four days but it seems like it just happened yesterday! Mommy's labor with you was super easy, only pushed for about 40 minutes!! Its the most amazing-est feeling in the whole world to have you home! So far you have been a super easy baby! You sleep through the night other then when its time to feed you. You definately do not like to have baths lol but I can't blame you! Who would want a sponge bath when all you do is get cold really quick! The puppas are so curious about you its a bit overwhelming, Simba doesn't seem to mind you at all either. You're eating about 3oz every feeding, such a little pigger! You're absolutely amazing! We also got your newborn pictures done today! I can't wait to show them off!!

Its 11:38pm on July 28, 2012 and you are still not here yet! We are all waiting very very patiently. Tomorrow is your Aunt Cristina's birthday, maybe you will share a birthday with her? What do ya say!? lol Everyone thinks you will be here tomorrow or early Monday morning... which ever will be ok with mommy because Thursday is kinda far away! 

Your Aunt Kayla and Aunt Taylor are super excited to meet you! Mommy hasn't seen them in about a year so I am super excited to see them! Gram has apparently gotten you a bunch of stuff Aunt Taylor says she can't leave the house alone anymore because she buys you so much stuff! 

Over Due

Welp, yesterday was your due date! No signs of you wanting to leave any time soon sweet baby! We went to your appointment and nothing has changed, you weren't moving as much as you normally do so we had to get a biophysical profile done and have some other things checked out... you passed with an 8/8 PERFECT score! We got to see you! You have chubby little cheeks! Daddy says you have a "pig nose" like mommy! He is so silly!!!! We're so thankful and blessed it was nothing serious but after looking back on it mommy, daddy, Gram, & Nana all think it was because it was 8am and mommy didn't have anything to eat other then some water! Especially after the appointment we went and got breakfast and you were moving ALL AROUND!!! Its so amazing when you move, lets momma know you are ok! We love you sweet baby girl and cannot wait to meet you!!! We had two of our close friends have their baby's yesterday! Michelle had Elijah Lee and Kayla had Bentley Layne! Both boys! So we think you need to come to balance it all out ;) Cannot wait to meet you sweet baby!

Today is also mommy & daddy's anniversary! We have been married for two years! Its amazing how time just flies by! Maybe you will give us the best anniversary present ever and decide to come today! We will see! If not its ok, :) I totally understand who wants to share their birthday with their parents anniversary? lol

Mommy needs to go get ready! We have to leave for an appointment in about an hour! Maybe we will hear some good news about you stinker!

3 more days

Three more days til the due date! THREE DAYS! Doctors appointment to day was a bust, nothing new at all. Cervix = closed, but you are head down! One good thing! We are going back on Thursday (your due date) at 8am.

Your Nana will be here soon! We have to go get her from the airport at 9am on Wednesday morning!

Just another manic Monday

We had our weekly check up today! Madison is doing great! Strong heartbeat even though she was "hiding" according to the doctor... not really sure how she could hide!! There isn't any room anymore!!! She's head down and will be a medium/normal size baby she won't be a shrimp as the doctor said, lol. 

Those once cute little flutters and punches are now painful! Momma is ready for her to be here! 17 more days! Grandma Main thinks you will be here between the 15 and 20th of July! Guess we will have to see!

EIGHTEEN MORE DAYS til Madison is here! We're really hoping for less then that though!

Diapers

Just wanted to show off some of Madison's cloth diapers! We chose to go with cloth for many reasons but the main reasons were the over all price and how much better for the baby they are! A few good websites to learn about cloth diapering would be All About Cloth Diapers, The Diaper Jungle, and Pinstripes and Polkadots. Also my FAVORITE place to buy diapers Sweet Bottoms Baby Boutique, almost all of my diapers but a few have been bought from here, my SIL has also gotten her a bunch of them! :) Now to show off her diapers :) (the links to there websites are below each picture)

Yay! Her bedding from Grandma finally came in! All were in need of now is a pink sheet, laundry hamper, and a hamper for diapers!

Hospital bags!

I will start out with Madison's hospital bag! It is all packed and should be in the car... lol but I'm slacking a little , it will be in there soon..... now to get started!

Receiving blankets: to wrap her up in, of course! we're also going to pack one someone gave us from when they had their child to send home with her scent on it for the dogs so they can get use to her smell before they actually meet in person!
mittens: so she can't scratch her precious little face
hats & socks: We all know how cold hospitals are, I don't want her little self to be chilly!

three outfits: we have one of each size (nb & 0-3 months) sleepers with feet and sleepers with open bottoms and then onsies with little pants that match... no these are not her coming home outfits... we're still undecided... everyone tells me not to bring all of these clothes, but I think I feel better bringing them just in case
headbands: just in case ;)

comb & brush: just in case she has hair
nail clippers: I've read blogs that say DO and blogs that say DO NOT bring these with you, so for better safe then sorry I'm just going to pack them in her diaper bag and we will have them reguardless

Vaseline: I have read on a few blogs it makes the first few poopy changes easier! 

Desitin: just in case! also an item to keep in her diaper bag
Booger sucker: or nasal aspiration whatever you call it... not really sure why I am bring this...
hand sanitizer: EVERYONE MUST WASH THEIR HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING THE BABY, so in case they can't get to a sink right away because of the rush of the moment we will have this!
pacis: I've read the hospital will have them for you, but you never know what kind the baby will or won't like

and of course last but not least we have her car seat in the truck. We are also going to bring her boppy pillow for late night feedings!

Now to get on to my bag, which does not have much in it right now I still have things to get but lets get started...

Toiletries:

That's all that is in my bag, obviously I have a few more things I need to pack. There are somethings we will get before we head out the door ie. phone chargers, camera cords, laptop, and all that fancy jazz.

Not to toot our own horns or anything like that..... but I would have to say we were some pretty dang cute kiddos!

Now to get to some of the Madison might have, might be's:


ZERO to NO hair, or its so blond that you can't even tell she has any hair

PJ weighed 8 pounds and 14 oz and was 2 weeks late, I weighed 6 pounds and 15 oz and was 6 weeks early. So I am going to say we're countin on a 8 pound baby.. maybe even 9. 


She could possibly be a long baby considering we are both over 5'7"


light or dark eyes... I have green and he has light brown


she will probably have funky eye brows when she is older, both of us have terrible eye brows, LOL


Hmm... I think that is all I can think of...

OH and she will have the worst attitude ever... both momma and dadda are hot headed!

Considering I have much time on my hands I thought I would start up a blog for our daughter Madison! With most of our family being pretty far away from us this would be the perfect way to share all the interesting things that happen in our baby girls life!
